RAIN JACKET FROM THE SEA – THE STORY

Approximately 650,000 tons of shing nets are left as debris on the bottoms of our oceans. Fishing nets are also made from the world’s best synthetic materials, which decay slowly, and driven by wind and currents, can drift for years.

Many of them end up caught on a reef wiping out complete ecosystems while swaying in the current. Ghost nets are among the greatest killers in our oceans. Rain Jacket From The Sea is sprung from our love of the outdoors and passion for responsible manufacturing. The jackets are woven in recycled nylon from discarded shing nets that are collected in Korean harbours.

Durable constructed fabric with rip-stop structure and laminated for waterproofness and breathability. Made with large functional pockets and welted side pockets. Water proof 10000 mm / breathability 10000 mm/m2/24h. Our Eco Essentials manifest is printed inside of the jacket.
